Which sat-nav is better?

I went with the Garmin. I get European mapping with life time free updates. I went for Garmin on the basis that if Boeing and Airbus trust them in their planes, then it'll probably be OK in my car, so far so good. I've used Garmin now for about 15 years without problems.

Garmin all the way, you normally get free life time map updates as well. I have one and they are really easy to use. In the case of most TomTom's you have to pay every time you want to update the maps.
