LOLOL... It's becoming truly difficult...?

Some of you tell me Hummers suck... others... advice Hummers...

I will need to buy 50 SUV for VIP tourism guide safaris...

I'll need a 4WD confort SUV... with every type of "amenities"!

The type of "terrain" that will be runned is like this:

http://www.darwin2k.com/chris/us/20060305_fossil_falls/proc/24_sandy_terrain-med.jpg

I need a very "high" car... and a "good looking" one...

The investors "chosen" the Hummer H3... that would cost $40,000 each... but they don't understand anything about SUVs... only about money! ;)

I'm responsible for the task of choosing some things... (not only the vehicles)... but I do not want to loose several days test driving all the vehicles there is!

I would appreciate some real help... from somebody who could think sa an CEO of a company which is going to take a Safari in the Eastern Coast Of Africa.

Sorry for all the inconvinience... and tk you all!

Have a great day!

The Hummer H3 is based on Chevy's midsized pickup. It really isn't all that bad of a choice - the usual complaints are that most of the people who buy them don't go off road, or that they are not quite as capable of off roading as, say, a Jeep Wrangler. And it is likely to impress your visitors. The terrain you've shown does not look overly demanding, but it does look tough enough that I would want a real truck-based SUV rather than a crossover.

Other things you may want to look at would be a Nissan Pathfinder or Xterra, or Toyota FJ Cruiser. They're all serious, truck-based SUV's with some real off road capacity.

I'd prefer Range Rovers for this application than the H3. However, the H3 isn't a bad choice, although your price sounds high. The H3 is around $30k in US.

H3's are really small. Don't do it.

If you need a high SUV, and one that's decently powerful, get a Range Rover.

edit:

Looking at your picture (that finally loaded), the H3 is 100% out. You'll kill them badly in all that sand.

For Pete's sake, think of the environment! Why do you need SUV's? Get some cute little hybrid.

Brilliant answer Ricky. "A cute little hybrid" will do very well in the environment shown in that photo.
