Hey ya'll this is Roger Vent from South Carolina. The biggest gamecocks fan ya'll will ever meet. I've run into a speed bump today my brother arrived from Georgia after I haven't seen him in a good spell and says he owes me only $200 dollars for a chevy truck i bought him in 1962, he has it and it is in excellent condition. And that wife of his has corrupted him and she's running things. I'm sick of it. And he has my buddy dave cussing up a storm. What do I do, should I take him over to the judge in town or should i discuss it with my local baptist minister what should I do? help please buddy.

If his wife is cute, take it in trade, then you two are square.

Howdy Roger, I'm Matt from Kentucky. I reckon how we would handle it here in the mountains of Harlan County would be a bit different than you sophisticated folk down in the southern part of Carolina. It's too bad the speed bump you hit wasn't that sister-in-law of yours. But I guess if you bought it 45 years ago then $200 is about as close as you are going to get to draining blood from a rock. I bet you gave him the title way back then too. Now if you still had it then you could just have a buddy of yours down at the gas & go garage tow it on away. Then you would see someone crying a whole lot. But him being your brother he should offer you more and you being his brother should take less. Just shame him and tell him he can keep his money and then send him and his wife off to sleep in a motel. Hey, you all should have a pretty fair football team down there this season - that is if that "old ball coach" can keep his players from getting into trouble off campus.

Get over it. He owes you nothing.

If the truck is in good shape today and was well maintained, it is because of him taking care of it.

Otherwise he would owe you current value of the vehicle but you would owe him for keeping and maintaining the truck all these years for you.

You will spend a good amount of money on lawyers, you two will lose and the lawyer will be a little more wealthy. (maybe will have to use the truck to pay him... LOL )

Same as I told you last time you asked. But thanks for clarifying who has it, and the condition.

However, "Bought for him in 1962" would seem to indicate a gift to your brother, not an obligation to pay. Got anything in written form?
