My first car was a 1998 Plymouth Breeze! AWESOME handling (Compared it to my fathers 2011 BMW 328xi). That thing could corner well (with good tires). The back seats were VERY roomy and had lots of legroom for a midsize car. It had so and so gas millage (2.0L 4 cyl) and only got 20 city but 30 highway. The only bad things were that it was FWD and VERY SLOW!!!!! They made a V6 dodge stratus which is practically the same car (shared platform) but faster! But WOW that car had such good handling!

I hated it at the time because it looked like a POS. It was in good condition but I hated how it looked (the grill made it look like a minivan but the Dodge stratus and Chrysler cirrus had a better front look). I was also SOOOO used to so many kids from my high school getting brand new Mercedes, BMW's, Cadillacs and range rovers, so i thought my car was bad.

I had that car for a little over a year and I kind of miss it. I now drive a 2001 Mercury Grand marquis which I also love. The difference between the handling is day and night of course. The Mercury Grand marquis handles like a boat!!!! Also I miss how EASY it was to park compared to the mercury!!!!! Though I do love how soft the suspension is in Grand marquis (The pot holes are very soft and rough roads that are bumpy are just minor vibrations in the seat).

But I have to say; For the kids that are reading this.... Get a 1995-2000 Dodge stratus or chrysler cirrus. It Is an AMAZING handling car and you should opt for a V6 if you find one. It is a awesome car that you can fit your friends in the back comfortably.

DO NOT get a Ford Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town car or a Mercury grand marquis as a first car because it has very weird handling and it is TOO big to park/maneuver. Yes you can fit 6 people in it (3 in front and 3 in back) but you are COMPLETELY numb to the road so dont think it will be fun to drive.

This happened recently, so don't think I'm a rich spoiled kid. Anyways it WAS a 2005 BMW X3 with like 120k on it. Liked the way it drove and such, but it did have some stupid issues(like leaking window seals, how often does that happen to cars?). Anyways after a complicated situation, It was replaced with a silverado with 160k, which I drive now. Absolute junk. It's one thing to have high mileage, another to have electrical issues. Now I am considering selling this POS and getting a new or lightly used Toyota Corolla or Honda civic. Something that won't ever break.

The X3 is debatable when talking about my first car. Had a few before, but it was the one i actually drove on a daily basis(only for 2 weeks). First thing I ever drove was a 1999 Subaru Forester.

First car was a 65 MUSTANG! Then I traded it for a BOSS 302!! $3600 NEW ou the door and the FASTEST by far for it;'s time period! IT ate nearly EVERY other car on the road in 0-60 but handled like CRAP! The BEST car ever was a 19o80 TURBO 500 AUDI with FRONT DRIVE! It BLASTED the DOORS from CAMAROS and MUSTANGS with cut-offs and had VENT WINDOWS and SUPERB handling and steering! I have worked on MORE car types from around the wold that you can NAME and AUDI and BMW win my heart every time FORD cars win for domestics as well! Gm STILL has it's BUTT somewhere else in time! QUATTRO RULES the street and in RACING< and TURBO DIESELS and HYBRIDS from AUDi win races ALL OVER THE WORLD! AUDI is about the SAFEST in bad weather and does NOT waste any energy with TIRE SQUEALING! It has the BEST crash numbers as well! EURO CARS mus handle through the ALPS and other MOUNTAIN RANGES with ease! The BOSS ENGINE was SO superior in nearly EVERY WAY back in 1969! WHAT A BUY for $3600 and gas was only about .025 for PREMIUM! We could RACE all day with NO bad results! NO POINT SYSTEM either! Just a good HAND SPANKING for driving issues! I LOVED those older GM cars as well, but even THEN they were POWER WASTERS and the 350 V8 was STILL in it's infancy! It did NOT really get good until about 2002 with a TOTAL REDESIGN! the BOSS was a SEMI HEMI design with CANTED VALVES and mine had more than 350 HP under the hood! Closer to 360! I knew how to TUNE those things the RIGHT WAY by removing all the EMISSIONS junk and turning it BACK into a REAL STREET ROD! I HATED THE STEERING THOUGH! Too WOBBLY! the NEW BOSS is AMAZING and has more EURO features and testing than a BMW has! It was AIMED at the BMWM3 and WInS! The NEWEST STANG now features the AUDI twin ball joint suspension NO ONE ELSE HAS COPIED YET! SUPERB HANDLER! BYE NOW

The first car I drove a lot was a 1951 Mercury that really belonged to my brother who was away from home. The first car I owned was a 1955 Ford Fairlane.. I miss some memories connected with them but I have never been too infatuated with cars.

A 1978 Ford Granada. My uncle's old car, at the time. Yeah, I kind of miss it. I kept it in good running condition (it had a carberator), the upholstery was in good shape, and you could easily get 4 people in there comfortably. As soon as I hit 16, I drove the crap out of that car! Yeah, I miss it. I miss those days.

They bring back memories of simpler times.

Mine was a 1980 Chevette (JER169) - the First Chevette to be sold in 1970 according to the dealership.

My father had promised me that if when I graduate from high school hell buy me any car I want. But during the time we lost everything and he promised that things will get better and he'll make up for this. And later, I bought my won cars myself

The first vehicle that I drove everyday was a '73 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super 20 pickup. Yeah, I was driving a pick-up when pick-ups weren't "cool." It was a beauty and as for missing it, I suppose, The memories in that vehicle, right out of high school, the girls and fun, dad, long drives...I think those are what I miss the most.

My first car was '64 Dodge Dart with a slant 6 engine and a pushbutton automatic trans which I drove every day to and from college until it died. Yes, I miss it as it took more abuse than any current car might.

My REAL 1st car (one I actually drove regularly) was a silver 1991 Subaru.

I do miss that car. It was simple, legit... fairly good mpg.

I have a Toyota sedan now, that was maroon... but the sun has faded it into a plum color.

It so doesn't fit me, but the powers that be won't allow me a new car.

They want to laugh at me, so...
