Hey everyone, I just want to know if anyone ever had this situation before. I bought an item on ebay, but the next day i've changed my mind on getting the item, so i send a message and told them to cancel the payment, but no reply and when i checked the next day, it said that they shipped it already. I've called the place where I had bought it from and the lady said that they can't do nothing about it and the only way to return it back is called fedex and make a request to stop the shipping as soon as possible, so i did. The fedex lady said to me they can't do nothing to stop the shipping right away and said when the item gets to the city where i lived in, that's when they will return it back.So i said okay, but i suddenly changed my mind and wanted to receive the package, so i called fedex and told them to put a note saying that I want to keep and receive the package. So today is the day i checked fedex website and it says the status says "out for delivery", but when i checked again in 3 hours. the status says "Unable to deliver shipment, return to shipper - Shipper requested" so i called fedex again and told them why is it returning back to the shipper which is in NEW YORK but it is still here in my city right now. The lady said the delivery guy on the truck probably read the note saying that i want to return it back to the shipper. I don't know what happened to the note that i stated before when i've talked to other person saying that i want to keep and received the package. Anyways i told the lady that i want to keep the package and received it since it is in the city area where i live at, i dont want the package to go back to NEW YORK and back here again which might take 2 weeks because it took 9 days to get here right now. So the lady left the note on the computer system. So i hope the driver that has the package reads it. My question to you guys is, should i worry about the package going back to new york, or should i just wait for them to call me because the lady said they would call me but i dont know how long it would take. What can i do to received that package since it is in the area of where i live at? sorry for the long story guys. Just making sure you know what I am talking about. THANK YOU IN ADVANCED!

If the return to shipper request comes from the shipper, you the recipient cannot get FedEx to deliver it to you. They will not do it if it's been shipper requested. The package is going back.

Please be sure you get refunded from the eBay seller, and remember that on eBay an auction bid or a "buy it now" click IS a contract to purchase that item.

Your impulsiveness has caused a lot of extra work for the eBay seller and the FedEx driver. Please think about what you're doing when you're doing it - life will be easier for you, and those around you.

Expect confusion. Accept responsibility.

Those trucks and drivers have a route. There are many stops and many packages in the truck. Your package is on out of hundreds. I would not expect the driver to make any special reverses during his workday, and at the end of the day, maybe your box- with all the confusion on it- will go the direction accoding to the last insruction the driver received. Don't expect them to ride around answering the phone. They have work that they want to finish.

You can try calling Fedex and see what they say, but to me it looks like the person that received your package didn't know what to do with it so they sent it back to the shipper. Looks like your forwarding deal didn't work.

The shipper received your notice that you did not want the item and in turn they requested that it be returned, you cant do anything since the shipper has now requested it back...
