Check on the DSA website to see if your car model is not on their banned list as if you turn up in one you forfeit the test as the examiner will not even get in the car.

Yes you can, it does not need dual controls but it does need L plates and everything needs to work you will need Mot and insurance certs

How are you to get to the test centre do you have someone to get you there as supervisor/passenger

Normally instructors give you a final lesson and run the course with you just before the test are you good enough not to need this

You don't need dual controls for a test. The adjudicator is not permitted to interfere unless it is a life-threatening situation. You are on your own!

You don't actually need them when learning but it is helpful, and wise, for the instructor to have control over someone inexperienced.

Not 100% sure what documents they ask for but will include driving license and, if it is your car, insurance documents. May ask for theory test papers too.

Before driving in your own car please make sure that you have insured with the car insurance company. You must have a valid insurance certificate covering you for third party liability. Before driving any vehicle, make sure that it has cover for your use or that your own insurance gives you adequate cover. You MUST NOT drive a vehicle without insurance.

Yes you can take the driving test in your car. Make sure that you practice well and have enough practice with the help of driving instructor

You don't need dual controls but you do need a separate interior mirror for the examiner (like the ones instructors use - you can buy them in Halfords), the car also has to be legal, insured, in good order etc...

No you don't need dual controls or any other kit (mirrors etc). All you need is the appointment letter and your provisional driving licence.
