The kid's parents shouldn't have to drive them around until they're 18.

-Gives kids a taste of the real world, having to buy themselves a car, pay for repairs

-Gives kids a sense of independence

-Don't have to rely on parents to pick them up after practice/games/work

-Gives kids more experience driving by themselves before having to head to college

-Parents can still make and enforce rules for their children without the government interfering in parenting

in NJ, its coming into affect, but i dont think its a good idea



the only reason I can think of is



cheaper insurance since you have stayed with the same insurance company for a while.

more practice for driving alone

Shouldn't :

-make kids more dependent on parents to get to work etc

-teaches kids responsibility for their own things

-helps kids learn to manage finances if they have some thing to pay for
