I've gotten a defective speedometer ticket before but that was like 2 and a half years ago. I was just wondering if it would be considered a traffic violation.

This is the question I'm trying to answering: Have you had ANY moving traffic violations in the last SEVEN years? Violations required to be disclosed should include but not be limited to such violations as SPEEDING, RECKLESS DRIVING, FAIL TO YIELD, ETC.

So that's why I'm wondering if a defective speedometer would be considered a traffic violation? PLEASE HELP!!!

If it does not work, then yes.

Speedometer must work !!!!

It's like asking, is it OK to drive with bold Tyre's.

Just to be definite. It is not a moving violation. In fact a speedometer is not required in a vehicle but if you have one it should work correctly. I have never heard of a defective speedometer ticket. How would anyone know it was defective? It is usually a fixit ticket. Get it fixed and the ticket is dropped. At least in my experience. You must live in Commiefornia.

yes it is but not in the way you're thinking they are asking about moving violations and that ticket is not a moving violation so it usually doesn't have to be disclosed
