I need to rent a truck to move my son to college. I'm thinking of renting a Large truck (Chevy Colorado or Dodge Dakota) or a smaller truck (Silverado or Ford F150). Anyone know if a twin mattress/box spring and other smaller items will fit in the bed of these?

Yes, you can definitely get a twin bed (mattress and box spring) into the bed (NOT the cab) of a pickup truck. You might want to get one with a cap if you can.

It would be better if you rent a small trailer from a place like U-Haul and when you are done with it you just bring it back to the U-haul place, and you can get some of your money back too.
