I bought an older car (1964 olds cutlass) and this was sticker was on the rear window. What does it stand for? I remember seeing them all over the place when I was a kid. Is it a brand logo?

STP stands for Scientifically Treated Petroleum. It was a popular additive that was made in the 1950's. The company is still around now, and is heavily involved with Nascar Racing Sponsorship (Sponsoring the driver Richard Petty). STP additive is available for your fuel or your oil. They also make brake fluid and power steering fluid. You can buy their products at places like K-Mart, Walmart, Auto Zone, various gas stations, and many other places.
STP is now commonly known as the initials for the band Stone Temple Pilots, which has nothing to do with the sticker you found on your car.

STP was a popular oil additive, it's still around but not needed so much anymore as the oils now have better additives than in the past.
