Just wondeing, it looks very sifting to maneuver a huge truck like that. And the obstacles look very hard to do like backing up, parking, turns, uturns, and etc.

We make it look hard on purpose, otherwise people would think that anyone could do it.

Define hard. If you have the training and the proper class of license it's a job, like any other. You don't make U turns with an 18 wheeler, nor would you really have to parallel park. Backing comes with practice.

like everything in life it will be hard in the beginning. Backing up a trailer is hard for me but i got use to it. I think backing up is the hardest, and turning in traffic, sometimes u-turn. And yes sometimes you need to do u-turns but its never recommend only if you really need to. If you go to school they will train you how to parallel park, which seem pointless cuz why would you wanna parallel park in a truck? You need to park your truck so you can get out safely, that why you need trucker parking at the back parking lot facing the nearest exit.

It's not hard. Just like anything else though, you have to learn. Once you understand the clearance needed to maneuver and the fact that if you make a mistake there is a good chance someone else will pay for it with their life everything else comes naturally.

I'm more comfortable driving and Hgv than I am driving either my pick-up or worse still my wife's focus (to small) As has been said it comes with practise. In answer to one person on here yes you do do U-turns sometimes (no in a bloody great open yard either) and yes I Parallel park and artic or Wagon and drag regularly In tiny roads.

With the correct training, nothing is hard, I drove an HGV for over 35 years but sometimes I found it hard to reverse my car into a parking bay, yet I didn't have any problems reversing the lorry.

If it was hard you wouldn't have everyone and their mother out driving 18 wheelers.

Yes. This is why they require special training for truck drivers. Trailers respond in the opposite direction when you back up and turns have to be made wide so that you don't run over curbs and such.

it is like everything the more you do it the better you get
it was frightening when i was learning but you get taught how to reverse but i will admit i cracked a lot of tail lenses reversing down lanes but you get used to the size of the lorry and it gets easier and between you and me you get a lot more respect on the road
